When it comes to capturing your big day, why settle for anything less than perfect? Working with an experienced professional photographer guarantees high-quality images that you can pass down to future generations. Not only do they have access to the best equipment and gear, but they also know all the tricks to getting amazing shots in any kind of lighting or conditions. With their help, you’ll get stunning images that you’ll cherish for years to come.

An Expert Can Help You Manage The Day's Schedule And Reduce Stress

A professional photographer will also help reduce some of the stress associated with planning and executing your big day. They understand what shots are important and how much time needs to be allotted for each activity. An experienced pro will help you manage the schedule so everything goes according to plan and there are no surprises or delays on your special day.

Pros Have A Creative Eye That Will Ensure Unique Photos

Every couple wants unique photos from their wedding day, and an experienced professional photographer has a creative eye that will ensure just that! They know all the right angles and poses to capture those special moments uniquely. Once they understand what kind of vibe you’re going for, they’ll be able to tailor their approach accordingly so you get exactly what you want in terms of style and quality.

An Experienced Pro Can Provide Resources

Your photographer may already have recommendations when it comes to other vendors such as caterers or florists, so don’t hesitate to ask them if they know anyone who might be able to help out. They may even have a partnership with a particular vendor, allowing you to benefit from a discount on certain services. Talk to your photographer about your needs so you can create a plan that works for you and your partner.

We are featured in Tamron Magazine!

I can’t begin to describe how honored and thrilled we are to have our photos featured on both the March 2022 Tamron USA blog and the Spring/April issue of Tamron Magazine (Wedding Special)! While it is always a rush of excitement to see our work in print, we think of it even more as an opportunity for us to share our values and beliefs when it comes to photographing weddings. In the blog article and the magazine, Toni and I were not only able to show off some of our photographs, but more importantly, give back to the community by sharing some tips and tricks on how we go about making a couple’s most memorable day a lasting memory. A Wedding on the Streets of L.A.

Art District Wedding, Downtown Los Angeles.

Art District Wedding, Downtown Los Angeles.

When you think of an iconic California wedding, what comes instantly to your mind? Perhaps a sunset wedding along the beaches of Santa Monica? Or a rustic farm house set in the hills of the wine country surrounded by vineyards bursting with grapes? Maybe even a fantasy wedding in Disneyland with all the attendees wearing mouse ears?

All those are indeed iconic of California, but I would argue that the wedding that best exemplifies what it means to an Angeleno would be one that takes place on the streets of L.A. with all the hustle and bustle of daily city life: people living rushing to and from work, cars honking at each other, street vendors peddling their wares, bystanders, onlookers, and well wishers approaching the bride and groom and giving them their congratulations… Among this chaotic scene with, Toni and I were challenged to take the best pictures we could to capture the essence of the bride and groom’s special day - challenge accepted!

We think that our images speak for themselves and just goes to show that at the end of the day, beautiful memories can be captured just about anywhere as long as there is genuine love and connection shared between the bride and the groom - and love and connection they had in spades!

Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone...

MarkToni (11).jpg

Once in a while, it really pays to venture out of one’s comfort zone. When we were approached by the 4K Film Festival (sponsored by Canon USA and Delkin Devices) to participate on one of the film teams as fashion photographers, we were initially hesitant since we were complete newbies in video production (although we did know a fair bit about the fashion photography genre having incorporated fashion flair to our lifestyle and wedding portfolios). However, our willingness to take the risk and sign up for the challenge really paid off - both literally and figuratively as we ended up winning second place and snagging a small cash prize to boot! But more important were the friendships that we made along the way and the many insights that we gained about the world of film making. It turned out to be an absolute blast, and Toni and I loved every minute of it.

Shooting the Dunes with Viktoriia Vlasenko

Dunes.jpg

We spent the day shooting with the super-talented Ukrainian fashion designer Viktoriia Vlasenko and model Katie Murillo in the Imperial Sand Dunes of California.

Viktoriia trained as a designer in Milan, the fashion capital of Italy, and brought her Euro-Slavic design sensibilities to California, where she met us during a fashion shoot. It turned out to be a very fortuitous meeting and melding of minds! We quickly learned that we shared a passion for photography-based storytelling, and together story-boarded a series of incredible fashion editorials.

Our first shoot, the “Goddess of Sunrise,” cast the ever-beautiful Katelynn Murillo as she who has awakened to the desert sun. The location of the shoot was the Imperial Sand Dunes, a challenging location, at least for that day! Our van filled with lighting and camera equipment was completely stuck in the quicksand caused by a sudden flash downpour in the middle of the night. What are the chances that it would rain in one of the driest places on earth on the ONE day we chose to shoot in the desert? Thanks to the kindness of strangers, we managed to escape the sand dunes and head to our shoot location on time for sunrise the next morning.

Every cloud has a silver lining, because the overcast skies that caused the unexpected downpour broke into a glorious sunrise - perfection!

This sample photo is a pre-production snippet. We can’t wait to share the next leg of our adventure - stay tuned!
